Job Summary
Emergency Room (ER) Nurse in Puyallup, WA. This position involves providing high-acuity emergency care across a Level III Trauma Center, treating a diverse patient population from pediatrics to geriatrics. The role offers an opportunity to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment with a focus on trauma and critical medical cases.
Job Details
- Location: Puyallup, WA
- Degree Requirements: No minimum experience required; 2 years of emergency department experience preferred
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, NIHSS, CPI/MOAB
- Responsibilities include cardiac rhythm interpretation, IV skills, basic ED knowledge of drips and medication administration, procedural sedation, and blood and medication support
- Schedule: 12-hour shifts during evenings, with a minimum of 36 hours per week
- Orientation includes badge and EPIC training, mental health area integration, and preceptor-led shifts, with specific competency assessments required prior to start
- The shift schedule will be provided three weeks in advance, with potential for shift switching based on unit needs
- Additional operational notes: all scrub colors are acceptable if professional, parking is free, and the culture is traveler-friendly with a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
