Job Details

• Position: Intensive Care Unit Cardiovascular RN
• Location: Reston, VA
• Shift: Days, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 48 hours per week
• Start Date: 12/28/2026
• End Date: 02/22/2027
• Certifications, Education, and Experience: Must have a valid license with 1-2 years of experience caring for cardiac surgery patients, including advanced skills such as ACLS, Balloon pump, Impella training, Hemosphere or Acumen trained.
• Responsibilities include managing post-surgical cardiac patients, following unit-specific policies, and adhering to documentation standards using Meditech Expanse.
• Unit specifics: 4-bed cardiothoracic ICU, patient ratios of 1:1 post-surgical and 1:2 for POD 1-3, with staffing and equipment aligned to promote patient recovery.
• Float: Float rotation may be required.
• Submission Requirements: Candidates must demonstrate recent experience with cardiac surgery recovery and relevant certifications.
