Job Summary
The Pediatric Psychology (PEDS PSYCH) professional position is based in West Palm Beach, FL. This role involves providing specialized behavioral health care within a psychiatric unit, supporting a multidisciplinary team, and ensuring patient safety and well-being. The candidate must be willing to float to adult behavioral health units, pending census.
Job Details
- Position: Pediatric Psychology (PEDS PSYCH)
- Location: West Palm Beach, FL
- Schedule: Day shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Candidates must hold BLS (Basic Life Support) and CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute) certifications. Previous acute care hospital behavioral health experience is preferred.
- Preferred Qualifications: ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) and Meditech experience are a plus.
- Responsibilities: Provide behavioral health services within a 29-bed psychiatric unit, typically involving patient assessments, care planning, and intervention. Support may be needed in adult behavioral health units as needed.
- Additional Information: The role requires critical thinking, compassion, excellent bedside manner, and a patient-centered approach. Dress code allows for scrubs or street clothes on the unit. The unit emphasizes creating a comfortable, residential environment that fosters recovery.
