Description
Job Summary
Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) Registered Nurse position in the area. This role involves providing specialized care for neonates in a Level IV surgical NICU environment, managing diagnoses such as CDH, MAS, NEC, TEF/EA, abdominal wall defects, BPD, pulmonary hypertension, and pre/peri/post-operative patients. The position requires adherence to hospital policies and supports a dynamic and fast-paced clinical setting.
Job Details
- Schedule: Dayshift, 12-hour shifts, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Valid nursing license, BLS (Basic Life Support) certification, PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification, a minimum of 0 years of NICU experience, and willingness to work at least one holiday if it falls during the contract.
- Preferred Qualifications: NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification is preferred.
- Responsibilities include providing high-quality neonatal care, managing common diagnoses such as CDH, MAS, NEC, TEF/EA, abdominal wall defects, BPD, pulmonary hypertension, and perioperative care.
- Additional Information: Must be tested along with a drug screen with no exceptions, and must have received the influenza vaccine (religious or medical exemptions are not accepted). Open to float to other units as needed.
