Description
Job Summary
Labor and Delivery (L&D) Nurse position located in the healthcare facility. This role involves providing comprehensive care to women during labor, delivery, and postpartum, ensuring the safety and well-being of both mother and baby. The position is scheduled for day shifts, with a minimum of 36 hours per week, starting on 11/09/2026.
Job Details
- Certifications: ACLS, AWHONN Advanced*, AWHONN Intermediate, BLS, NRP
- Education Requirements: Valid State License (compact license must be in hand at submission)
- Location Requirements: Must be within 50 miles of the facility; no travel outside this radius unless specified
- Years of Experience: 0 years minimum (default for this position)
- Schedule: Day shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Experience in labor and delivery, current certifications listed above, valid State license, and at least 1 year of recent clinical experience in obstetrics preferred but not explicitly required.
- Additional Responsibilities: Includes managing high-risk deliveries, neonatal resuscitation, fetal monitoring, postpartum care, patient education, and sterile procedures such as vaginal exams.
- Float: Float rotation may be required.
- Submission Requirements: Candidates must include responses to prior employment at Providence facilities, provide two references covering 1 year during the last 3 years, and meet the licensure and experience prerequisites.
