Job Summary
Labor and Delivery (L&D) Nurse in a healthcare facility. This role involves providing specialized care to women during labor, delivery, and postpartum, ensuring safe and efficient childbirth processes. The position is full-time, with a focus on delivering high-quality patient care in a dynamic clinical environment.
Job Details
- Certifications: ACLS, AWHONN Advanced, AWHONN Intermediate, BLS, NRP
- Education Requirements: Must hold a valid state license; compact license accepted; at least 1 year of experience required
- Location Requirements: Within a 50-mile radius of the healthcare facility
- Years of Experience: 0 years minimum, with at least 1 year preferred
- Schedule: 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week, scheduled to start on 11/09/2026 and ending on 02/08/2027
- Responsibilities include performing sterile vaginal exams, assisting with high-risk deliveries, managing postpartum care, and supporting neonatal procedures.
- Skills required include administration of blood and blood products, assist with vaginal deliveries, use of electronic fetal monitoring, and providing postpartum education.
- Ability to float to postpartum may be required.
- Candidates must respond to additional submission questions regarding prior experience at Providence facilities, include two references covering 1 year within the last 3 years, and successfully complete required modules prior to starting.
