Job Summary
Operating Room (OR) Open Heart Specialist Location: unspecified. This position involves providing specialized surgical support in a Level II Trauma Center, focusing on cardiothoracic procedures such as CABG, AVR, MVR, and minimally invasive valve surgeries. The role requires flexibility to float to general OR cases and adherence to a 4x10 days schedule with at least 10 call shifts per month.
Job Details
- Certifications, Education Requirements, Degree Requirements, Location Requirements, and Years of Experience: BLS certification, NBSTSA certification preferred, at least 1 year of experience, and valid licensure in the state.
- Schedule: Days, 10-hour shifts, minimum of 40 hours per week.
- Additional clinical support includes assisting with general OR cases and flexible endoscope reprocessing, including bronchoscopes, EGD scopes, and EBUS skills.
- Responsibilities include singular scrub support for cardiothoracic cases, floating to general OR as needed, and participating in at least 10 call shifts per month.
- Must be willing to work 3 of the 5 holidays and commit to a scheduled start date of 11/02/2026, with an expected assignment end date of 02/01/2027.
- Previous experience in cardiothoracic surgeries involving CABG, AVR, AAA, MVR, and minimally invasive procedures is preferred.
- Candidate must hold a valid state license (compact license accepted) and have at least 1 year of experience in operating room settings.
- References: Two references covering 1 year (6 months for CNAs) within the last 3 years are required.
