Job Summary
Labor and Delivery (L&D) Registered Nurse in Green Bay, WI. This position involves providing specialized nursing care within a Level II Trauma Center and Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). The role supports a busy maternity unit with an average of 120 births per month, focusing on antepartum, labor and delivery, mother-baby patient care, and postpartum recovery.

Job Details

  • Position Description: L&D RN responsible for obstetric and neonatal patient care, including antepartum, labor, delivery, and postpartum services. Work includes caring for patients across all gestational ages, with no Gynecological surgeries involved.
  • Required Qualifications: RN license, BLS (Basic Life Support), NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program), FHM (Electronic Fetal Heart Monitoring); minimum of 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience (4 years most preferred), Level 3 OB experience, labor experience, circulating Cesarean sections preferred, and experience with FHM.
  • Schedule: Days, 12-hour shifts, minimum 36 hours per week.
  • Support on the Unit: Charge nurse rarely takes a patient load; two Techs for the whole floor; Nurse to draw labs; OB available 24/7; Anesthesia in-house; Lactation RN during day shift.
  • Charting System/Equipment: EPIC, Alaris, Pyxis, bedside and nurse station monitors, telemetry.
  • Orientation: General hospital orientation plus one shift on the unit with a preceptor.
  • Scheduling Notes: Every other weekend rotation; floating first to Gyn/mother-baby overflow; up to 7 days off approval; schedule provided at least 2 weeks prior.
