Job Summary
Operating Room Pediatrics (OR PEDS) specialist in the West Virginia region. This position involves providing perioperative care in a busy pediatric surgical unit within a Level 1 trauma center. The role requires adapting to a rotating schedule, including day, evening, and weekend shifts.

Job Details

• Position Description:
  The role involves working in a pediatric-focused operating room attached to a comprehensive facility. The unit handles a variety of cases such as tonsils, hypospadias, rectus muscle, craniotomy, cardiac, and orthopedic procedures. Scrubbing is preferred but not required. Midnight charge nursing is part of the shift structure.
• Required Qualifications:
  BLS Certification; Minimum 2 years of experience; Operating Room Pediatrics specialization; Active license to submit; Willing to wait for license processing; Work in a pediatric surgical environment.
• Preferred Qualifications:
  Experience with pediatric surgical cases and familiarity with electronic charting systems such as EPIC.
• Schedule:
  Rotating shifts including 12-hour shifts from 6:30 AM to 6:00 PM or 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM; minimum 36 hours per week; call shifts and weekend coverage required.
• Additional Information:
  Mandatory standby and call shifts (1 per week, 1-2 on weekends); required to respond within 30 minutes for standby; floating to multiple units as needed; scrubs provided; orientation and checklist completion required; facility has a cancellation policy allowing two shifts cancellation per 13 weeks.
