Job Summary
Pediatric Floor Nurse, PEDS located at the healthcare facility. This position involves providing specialized nursing care in a dedicated pediatric unit, with a focus on patient assessment, medication administration, respiratory support, and other pediatric clinical procedures. The role requires a compassionate approach to pediatric patients and adherence to unit-specific policies and guidelines.

Job Details

• Certifications: Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
• Education and Experience: 0 years of experience required, with pediatric clinical skills including head-to-toe assessment, IV placement, medication administration, respiratory support, nasogastric/gastric tube feeding, lab collection, and use of oxygen therapy devices.
• Location: Pediatric unit within the organization.
• Schedule: Night shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Additional Responsibilities: May include float to Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) to care for step-down patients, support in Labor and Delivery Recovery Post-Partum, and adult care support as Techs may be needed.
• Preferred Qualifications: 1-3 years of pediatric nursing experience is preferred.
• Other: Staff will work every other weekend, with potential to float to other pediatric units as needed.
