Job Summary
Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory (CCL) Nurse Location: Not Specified. This position involves providing comprehensive nursing care to patients undergoing cardiac procedures such as cardiac catheterizations, peripheral interventions, TAVR, and device management. The role requires independent clinical practice within the cardiac cath lab environment, ensuring patient safety and care quality throughout the procedure.

Job Details

• Schedule: Days shift, 7:00 AM 3:30 PM, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing, BLS certification via AHA, ACLS certification via AHA, RN license in the state of employment or a compact license.
• Responsibilities:
  • Administer medications and treatments following appropriate protocols, monitoring for side effects and effectiveness.
  • Conduct patient assessments, including history, symptoms, medication, and care documentation.
  • Provide education to patients, families, and caregivers regarding procedures and post-care instructions.
  • Collaborate effectively with healthcare team members to meet patient needs and clinical goals.
  • Ensure adherence to clinical standards and safety protocols in a cardiac cath lab setting.
• Experience: All newly hired experienced RNs must attend New Nurses Orientation within the first 30 days of hire.
• Additional Information: The role involves caring for patients undergoing complex cardiac procedures, with a nurse-to-patient ratio of one patient to four staff members (two nurses and two techs). The position requires weekends every third or fourth weekend and on-call as scheduled in collaboration with the team. Applicants must demonstrate flexibility and competence in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment.
