Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Nursing - Days Shift - Location: Not Specified. This position involves providing direct nursing care within an adult medical, pulmonary, and cardiac intensive care unit. The role requires implementing and monitoring patient care plans, communicating patient conditions, and coordinating discharge planning with the healthcare team.

Job Details

• Position Description: Provides direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols of the healthcare organization. Responsibilities include implementing and monitoring patient care plans, communicating patient conditions, serving as a primary coordinator of disciplines for patient care, noting and executing physician and nursing orders, and assessing discharge needs.
• Complexity of Work: Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, the ability to work with minimal supervision, and functioning effectively in a stressful environment.
• Unit Description: This department is an 8-unit facility serving adult medical, pulmonary, and cardiac intensive care needs. The nurse to patient ratio is 1:2. The unit is supported by patient care technicians on the dayshift and a monitor technician available for 24/7 monitoring.
• Required Qualifications: License: Nursys License, Ascension Profile, and 2 Professional References.
• Schedule: Days shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Start Date: 11/08/2026
• End Date: 02/06/2027
