Job Summary
The ORT (Surgical Technician/Operating Room Technician) is based in the local healthcare organization and will support surgical teams across a variety of procedures within the operating room. This role involves assisting surgeons, establishing and maintaining sterile fields, and ensuring equipment readiness to deliver high-quality patient care.

Job Details

• Certifications: BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider, Surgical Technician Certification (TS-C, CST, or NRST) are required.
• Education Requirements: High school diploma or GED; must be a graduate of an accredited surgical technology program or have military training as a scrub tech.
• Location Requirements: No specific geographic restrictions.
• Experience: Minimum of 1 year of recent relevant experience.
• Schedule: Shift is Days, 8 hours per day, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
• Responsibilities include assisting in a variety of surgeries, maintaining sterile environments, preparing supplies and equipment, performing clerical tasks related to patient records and inventory, and ensuring safety and compliance standards are met.
• Additional information: Occasional float to same campus outpatient service area may be required; on-call approximately 4-5 days per month including weekends.
