Job Summary
A Medical Surgical Nurse (MS) position is available at a healthcare organization. This role involves providing comprehensive patient care on a Medical Surgical Floor, primarily working a 12-hour rotating day/night shift schedule. The assignment is structured for 16-26 weeks with the potential for extended duration.

Job Details

• Position Description:
  The assignment is 16-26 weeks, with tiered rates based on mileagemeasured by direct line, not driving distance. Travel (101 miles+), Radius (51-100 miles), Local (50 miles or less). The role involves working in a Medical Surgical unit with a focus on vascular access procedures and trauma care. The Nurse must have experience with IV ultrasound guidance, PICC line management, and administering thrombolytics, among other responsibilities. Flexibility to rotate between day and night shifts is required, including every other weekend.
• Required Qualifications:
  Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS), minimum of 2 years in a Medical Surgical specialty, experience with IV ultrasound guidance, PICC skills, AVA certification, strong IV skills, large trauma level 1 experience in the last year, and recent Epic EMR experience within past 2 years.
• Schedule:
  12-hour shifts, Monday through Sunday, with a minimum of 36 hours per week. Tours include rotating day/night shifts with bi-weekly orientations on Mondays.
• Additional Information:
  All employment gaps over 90 days must be explained, and complete work history details (bed count, EMR system, facility type, etc.) are required for submission. Candidates must have reliable transportation, with vehicles equipped for winter conditions if applicable.
