Job Summary:
Labor and Delivery (L&D) Nurse opportunity in a healthcare facility. This role involves providing specialized care to women during labor, delivery, and postpartum, with an emphasis on fetal monitoring and obstetric procedures. The position requires experienced professionals comfortable with managing both mother and baby throughout the delivery process.

Job Details:

• Certifications, Education, and Experience Requirements: Valid California Registered Nurse (RN) license, BLS, ACLS, NRP (provider), Advanced Fetal Monitoring certification, with a minimum of 2 years of recent experience in labor and delivery.
• Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Additional Responsibilities: Assist with vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections, and use of electronic fetal monitoring equipment; administer medications such as Pitocin (oxytocin) and magnesium sulfate; monitor vital signs and fetal heart rates; manage postpartum care including fundus, lochia, and perineum.
• Preferred Qualifications: Charting system experience, community hospital experience, and previous charge nurse experience are desired but not mandatory.
• Additional Information: Must be comfortable with caring for both mother and newborn, including supporting vaginal and cesarean deliveries; compliance with onboarding, work history verification, and timely submission of required documentation is essential.
