Job Summary
Emergency Room (ER) Nurse in a healthcare facility setting. This position involves providing high-quality emergency care to adult and pediatric patients across a diverse range of diagnoses and conditions. The role requires expertise in critical care procedures, patient management, and clinical documentation within a fast-paced environment.

Job Details

• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS, TNCC, required.
• Education Requirements: Current WI RN or Compact RN license.
• Experience Requirement: Two (2) years of Emergency Department experience with adult and pediatric populations within the last three years.
• Schedule: Days, 12-hour shifts, 06:30 AM 07:00 PM, minimum 36 hours per week.
• Responsibilities include arterial line management, BiPAP/CPAP management, blood product administration, ventilated patient care, central line care/management, continuous IV sedation, interpretation of arterial blood gases (ABGs) and dysrhythmias, infection control measures, IV vasopressors, management of multisystem organ dysfunction/failure, EKG/ECG interpretation, phlebotomy, procedural sedation monitoring, starting and maintaining IVs, triage activities, and adherence to clinical protocols such as Bed Side Shift Reporting, AIDET utilization, and hourly rounding.
• Additional Information: Traveler will be required to pass telemetry testing with an adult and pediatric exam, each requiring an 80% passing score on identification of lethal rhythms and correct responses to heart block questions. Telemetry exam attempts are limited to three, with documentation of completed cardiac interpretation review required if failed after two attempts. Travelers are required to float as needed.
