Job Summary

Registered Nurse Progressive Care Unit. This travel assignment supports a mixed-acuity unit caring for medical-surgical, telemetry, and occasional intensive care and Progressive Care Unit patients. The position requires strong acute-care experience, flexibility across patient acuities, and a commitment to safe, high-quality patient care.

Job Details

• Required Qualifications: At least 2 years of acute-care Registered Nurse experience in medical-surgical and Progressive Care Unit settings within the last 3 years; travel experience; Wisconsin Registered Nurse license; Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications through the American Heart Association (AHA).
• Preferred Qualifications: Previous charge experience.
• Schedule: Day shifts consisting of 12-hour shifts from 6:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., totaling 36 hours per week; weekend rotation, every other holiday, and standby call as needed.
• Float: Float rotation may be required.
• Additional Information: This is a mixed-acuity unit caring for medical-surgical, telemetry, Progressive Care Unit, and occasional intensive care patients. Patient assignments may include adults and geriatric patients, with ratios varying according to acuity. Occasional ventilator care may be required. A telemetry examination must be passed before the assignment begins, with strict passing criteria and limited attempts. Influenza vaccination is required, with medical or religious exemptions permitted.
