Job Details

• Position Description: The position assesses, plans, implements, evaluates, and documents nursing care of pediatric patients in accordance with organizational policies and professional standards. The nurse is accountable for the quality of nursing services delivered by self and others under their direction, utilizing specialized knowledge, judgment, and nursing skills. This includes reviewing patient history and diagnostics, formulating care plans with input from patients and families, and providing direct patient care, including delegation and supervision of activities of licensed and non-licensed personnel. The nurse promotes continuity of care through clear communication and documentation of assessments, interventions, and responses.
• Required Qualifications: Current, valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice, BLS certification, and minimum of 2 years recent acute hospital experience in Pediatrics.
• Schedule: Night shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Additional Information: The role includes clinical responsibilities such as performing assessments, care planning, patient education, documentation, and participating in quality initiatives. The position may involve float rotations to Pediatric Emergency Department or Pediatric Post-Anesthesia Care Unit during surge times.
