Job Summary
Emergency Room (ER) Nurse Tacoma, WA. The healthcare provider seeks an experienced ER nurse to join its fast-paced, trauma center. The position involves caring for a diverse patient population, including pediatrics to geriatrics, with high-acuity cases such as trauma, sepsis, COVID, STEMI, stroke, and mental health conditions.

Job Details

• Position Description: ER nurse supporting a Level II Trauma Center with 60 beds and an average of 140-150 patients daily. The role involves providing emergency care across various patient types, with a focus on trauma and high-acuity cases.
• Required Qualifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, NIHSS, CPI/MOAB certifications; recognized Emergency Room (ER) specialty; minimum of 1 year strong ER experience; current EPIC electronic medical records system experience; valid licensure; location requirement: Washington State; years of experience: 1 year.
• Schedule: Nights shift, 12-hour shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Additional Information: The role entails supporting critical care activities such as cardiac rhythm interpretation, IV insertions, blood administration, procedural sedation, and cardiac medication management. Staff will assist with charting via EPIC, operate telemetry monitoring, and support float assignments at dual locations. Orientation includes badge setup, EPIC training, and preceptor support on the first day. The float rotation may be required between hospital sites, with scheduled staff adjustments.
