Job Summary
PACU (Post Anesthesia Care Unit) Registered Nurse (RN) position available in Reno, NV. This role involves providing top-tier patient care in a fast-paced, Level II Trauma Center environment, serving a broad geographic area. The position supports adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients, ensuring safe recovery following surgical procedures.

Job Details

• Location: Reno, NV.
• Shift: Rotating, 4x10-hour shifts, including weekends, holidays, and call shifts, with varied days of the week.
• Schedule: 10-hour shifts with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
• Certifications: AHA Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) - required prior to start.
• Education: NV Registered Nurse (RN) license required prior to start.
• Experience: Minimum 2 years of Recovery Room (PACU) experience required; prior travel experience necessary.
• Responsibilities: Deliver comprehensive nursing services to adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients, including pre- and post-operative assessments, planning, and intervention. Coordinate care with other health professionals as needed.
• Additional Information: Travelers may be required to float up to their competency level, work major holidays, and pick up additional shifts based on department needs. This facility is a high-volume, fast-paced environment serving a 500-mile radius, with certifications in stroke care, trauma, and surgical procedures.
