Job Summary
Medical Surgical Oncology Floor RN (Registered Nurse) Location unspecified. This position involves providing specialized care to pediatric hematology, oncology, and Bone Marrow Transplant patients within a tertiary level educational hospital environment. The role requires the coordination of complex treatment modalities in a fast-paced setting, with an emphasis on patient-centered care and safety.

Job Details

Certifications: APHON, BLS, PALS; California RN License in hand required.
Education Requirements: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or higher; CA RN license.
Location Requirements: Current California RN licensure in good standing.
Years of Experience: Minimum of 2 years of recent inpatient pediatric nursing experience, including recent pediatric hematology/oncology.
Schedule: Rotating shifts, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week, starting on 01/05/2027 through 06/15/2027.
Required Qualifications: Valid California Registered Nurse license, BSN, BLS, PALS, and at least 2 years of pediatric inpatient experience; pediatric hematology/oncology experience preferred.
Additional Information: Demonstrated experience with blood and blood product administration, chemotherapy, port and central line care, infection prevention, management of oncologic emergencies, pediatric dosing, PEWS score, IV insertion and management, symptom management, and specialized pediatric oncology procedures. Ability to float to other UCSF facilities may be required.
