Labor and Delivery Nurse, L&D Specialty, Location: Local. This position involves providing specialized care for patients during labor and delivery at an acute care hospital. Job Details

• Position Description: Labor and Delivery Nurse responsible for high-risk obstetric care, including assisting with high-risk delivery procedures, sterile vaginal exams, and postpartum management. Must have expert experience and the ability to perform sterile exams independently.
• Certifications: ACLS, AWHONN Advanced, BLS, NRP.
• Education Requirements: Not specified.
• Location Requirements: Must hold a valid state license; compact license accepted.
• Experience Requirements: Minimum 1 year of experience, with consideration for candidates with at least 1.5 years depending on expertise.
• Schedule: Nights shift, 12 hours, minimum 36 hours per week.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Epic charting system and labor and delivery procedures.
• Float: Float rotation to mother-baby units may be required.
• Additional Information: Must be open to working weekends, holidays, and possibly exceeding scheduled shifts to meet unit needs. RTO requests must be made upfront; early submission with all scheduling preferences is recommended.
• Submission Requirements: Candidates are required to respond to prior work at any Providence facility, providing location and dates worked, along with two references covering at least one year within the last three years.
