Labor and Delivery Nurse Location unspecified. This position involves providing specialized obstetric care to patients in the labor and delivery department. Job Details

• Certifications: CA RN License, BLS, ACLS, NRP (provider), Advanced Fetal Monitoring.
• Education Requirements: Current licensure and certifications as listed above.
• Location Requirements: Valid CA RN License uploaded within the last 2 weeks.
• Years of Experience: Minimum of 0 years required.
• Schedule: Night shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 48 hours per week.
• Responsibilities include administration of blood and blood products, antihypertensives, antiseizure medications, management of pregnancy-induced hypertension, assist with vaginal delivery, manage cesarean sections, monitor fetal status with external fetal monitoring, and use infusion pumps and IV monitoring equipment.
• Additional duties involve patient assessments such as APGAR scores, postpartum care including fundus, lochia, and perineum care, and maintaining sterile procedures during labor and delivery.
• Skills required include familiarity with epidural anesthesia, Pitocin administration, sterile vaginal exams, triage of obstetrical patients, and use of external fetal monitoring equipment.
• The candidate must be comfortable working with both the mother and newborn, performing clinical procedures related to obstetric patient care, and collaborating with interdisciplinary support teams.
