Pediatric Intermediate Care (PEDS IMCU) registered nurses are needed at a healthcare organization in San Antonio, TX. This role involves providing specialized care to pediatric patients in a unit equipped with advanced respiratory support devices, such as high flow nasal cannulas, trachs, and home ventilators. The position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic pediatric environment with a focus on patient-centered care.

Job Details

• Position: Pediatric Intermediate Care Nurse
• Location: San Antonio, TX
• Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications. Candidates must have experience with trachs and home ventilators.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with high flow nasal cannulas, trachs, and home ventilators.
• Responsibilities: Provide direct patient care in a pediatric intensive care unit environment, including managing trachs, ventilators, and other specialized medical equipment. Ensure adherence to unit policies and maintain a positive, team-oriented attitude.
• Additional Information: The unit operates with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 3:1 or 4:1 depending on acuity. Flexibility and good communication skills are essential. Every other weekend work may be required.
