Job Summary
Operating Room Open Heart Nurse Sunrise Hospital. Located in the healthcare facility, this role involves providing specialized cardiac surgical nursing care within a busy CVOR (Cardiovascular Operating Room) environment. The position requires delivering high-quality patient care, working collaboratively with the surgical team, and adhering to clinical and operational standards.

Job Details

Position Description: The selected candidate will be responsible for providing care to patients undergoing cardiovascular surgeries such as CABG, Valve surgery, TAVR, Vascular, and Thoracic procedures. The role involves supporting surgical procedures, monitoring patient status, and ensuring safety during operations.
Required Qualifications: RN license with ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications; no minimum years of experience required; location: Sunrise Hospital; schedule includes 10-hour shifts, with a minimum of 40 hours per week, on days.
Preferred Qualifications: Peds (Pediatric) experience; friendly, easy-going, hardworking, and multi-tasking personality fit.
Additional Information: The unit has 23 OR rooms, including 4 CVOR rooms, with a staff of 20 CVOR team members. Typical procedures performed include CABG, Valve surgery, TAVR, vascular, and thoracic surgeries. The unit maintains a patient ratio of 1:1 and utilizes Meditech electronic medical records. The role includes working scheduled on-call shifts and weekends, aligned with full-time staff needs.
Schedule: Dayshift, 10-hour shifts, minimum 40 hours per week, starting on 11/09/2026 through 02/08/2027.
