Job Summary
Surgical Technician/Operating Room Technician in ORT specialty located in an acute care setting. This role involves assisting with various surgical procedures, primarily focusing on orthopedic cases, in a fast-paced hospital environment. Candidates must be proficient in scrub techniques, equipment handling, and working independently during call shifts.

Job Details

• Location: The position is based in an acute care facility with five operating rooms and one procedure room.
• Required Qualifications: Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) with active BLS certification from the American Heart Association, proficiency in all aspects of scrubbing surgical cases, including total joint procedures, and at least 2 years of recent scrub experience.
• Schedule: Various weekday shifts starting at 0630, 0700, 0900, or 1100, with call responsibilities extending into weekday evenings and weekends approximately once a week. The shift duration is 8 hours, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
• Additional Requirements: Willingness to obtain MN Net Study within 2 weeks of acceptance, must badge in and out at the facility, and prior employment with the organization within the last 6 months disqualifies the candidate.
• Responsibilities: Scrubbing OR cases across all specialties except neuro, spine, and hearts, handling a variety of surgical instruments and sets, and working independently during call shifts.
• Certifications: BLS (AHA) and CST (NBSTSA). Candidates must have a minimum of 2 years' recent experience in surgical technology.
