Job Summary
The Surgical Technician (ORT) position is based in the healthcare setting and involves supporting the surgical team during operative procedures. This role focuses on preparing and organizing surgical instruments, assisting during surgeries, and ensuring a sterile environment to facilitate smooth surgical operations.

Job Details

• Certifications/Degrees: BLS (AHA only), CST 2 years minimum experience in Neuro, Robotics, Orthopedics, or related specialties preferred.
• Location: Lakeway, TX
• Schedule: 5x8s, 0630-1500, Monday through Friday, with rotating days and weekends, minimum of 40 hours per week
• Responsibilities include discussing needs with surgeons, aseptically preparing the operative site, maintaining instrument accuracy, setting up operating rooms, ensuring equipment functionality, performing surgical counts, assisting with draping, and managing surgical specimens and instrumentation after procedures.
• Ensures proper sterilization, decontamination, and storage of surgical instruments and supplies following infection control standards and regulatory guidelines.
• Note: The candidate must have successfully completed a Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) accredited program or equivalent, and possess a good understanding of infection prevention, sterile technique, and human anatomy.
• The ability to perform all essential duties with or without reasonable accommodations, demonstrate integrity, and work effectively as part of a team is required.
