Job Summary
Labor and Delivery (L&D) Nurse in Morristown will provide specialized care for mothers and newborns during labor, delivery, and postpartum. The role involves offering thorough assessments, managing high-risk pregnancies, and supporting patients through their birthing experience in a high-acuity environment.

Job Details

• Certifications, Education, Experience, and Location Requirements: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing; Associates or Bachelor's Degree preferred; current RN license required; 0 years minimum experience required; required certifications include ACLS and BLS.
• Schedule: Days shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum 36 hours per week.
• Additional Responsibilities: Support completion of patient testing, evaluate pre-admission testing orders for appropriateness, and manage high patient census efficiently.
• Skills: Assessment skills, clinical skills, nursing care, emergency equipment and procedures, documentation guidelines, professional practice responsibility, policies and procedures, patient education, confidentiality, National Patient Safety Goals, Universal Protocol, safe transfer techniques, body mechanics, perioperative team, pre-admission testing.
• Additional Information: Must have experience in high-risk labor and delivery with management of high patient census; support pre-operative and post-operative assessments and education, ensuring patient understanding of procedures and instructions.
