Newborn Nursery Registered Nurse (RN) Location: not specified. This role involves providing specialized postpartum and newborn care in a facility capable of handling Level 4 Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) situations. The position requires on-call availability and is suitable for candidates with at least two years of related clinical experience.

Job Details

• Position Description: Backfill contract role for RN in the Newborn Nursery, with NICU capability, working 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM. The assignment duration is approximately 13 weeks, starting on 11/16/2026 and ending on 02/15/2027.
• Required Qualifications: RN license with 2 years of experience, including Level 4 NICU experience. Must demonstrate the ability to manage patient loads independently (1:5-6 patient ratio). Specific skills include postpartum experience and familiarity with EMR systems such as CPN and Meditech.
• Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Preferred Qualifications: Antepartum patient experience, knowledge of CPN and Meditech systems, and a team-oriented, flexible attitude in a fast-paced environment.
• Additional Information: The unit primarily cares for postpartum women and occasionally antepartum patients. Staff include highly tenured nurses with over 20 years of experience, complemented by newer RNs. The team values strong collaboration, patient education, and professional communication. Dress code requires navy blue scrubs.
