Job Summary
Step Down Unit Nurse, Specialty in Step Down, located at the healthcare providers facility, is responsible for providing specialized patient care in a progressive care setting. This position involves managing stable cardiovascular patients with complex needs, including post-cardiac procedures and various acute medical conditions, ensuring optimal patient outcomes through skilled nursing interventions.

Job Details

• Position Description: The role involves delivering expert nursing care in a Step Down Unit, with responsibilities including monitoring patient conditions, titrating set rate drips such as nitroglycerin, heparin, and other medications, and utilizing advanced equipment like CPAP and BiPAP.
• Required Qualifications: Valid BLS and ACLS certifications, minimum of 2 years experience in a Step Down or similar clinical setting, certification in NIHSS preferred but not required.
• Schedule: Nights shift from 07:00 PM to 07:30 AM, with 36 hours per week, scheduled for 6 weeks.
• Preferred Qualifications: Epic experience within the past year, knowledge of cardiothoracic and vascular procedures, and flexibility to float within skill set.
• Additional Information: Candidates should possess a team-oriented mindset, be adaptable to unit needs, and have the capability to contribute to a fast-paced, patient-centered environment.
• Submission Requirements: Candidates must be eligible to submit a license and be experienced in the required skill sets, including handling stable post-operative cardiac patients.
