Description

Job Summary

Registered Nurse, Cardiac Cath Lab. The role provides specialized care for adult and geriatric patients undergoing diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures in a five-room unit. Responsibilities include procedural sedation monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, and cardiac catheterization support.

Job Details

Required Qualifications: Minimum 1 year of experience; active Illinois nursing license in hand; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications; interventional cardiac catheterization laboratory experience; experience with circulating procedures, adult diagnostic catheterizations, interventional catheterizations, left heart catheterization, right heart catheterization, pulmonary artery line and Swan-Ganz monitoring, procedural sedation administration and monitoring, and interpretation and management of dysrhythmias; Cerner charting experience.
Schedule: Day shifts, 3 shifts per week at 12 hours per shift, from 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM, totaling 36 hours per week.
Additional Information: On-call coverage is required as needed. The role includes working 23 weekends per assignment and caring for adult and geriatric patients. The unit has an average daily census of 25 patients and includes rapid response team support.
