Job Summary
Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) Nurse in Oak Lawn and Park Ridge This position involves providing specialized care in Level 1 Trauma and Level III NICU environments. The role requires flexibility to travel between campuses, delivering high-quality neonatal care to premature infants, unstable newborns, and surgical patients within a teaching hospital setting.

Job Details

• Position Description: ACH Enterprise - Nursing Float Pool. Must be able to travel to both campuses in Oak Lawn and Park Ridge. Assignments are posted 90-120 minutes prior to shift start.
• Required Qualifications: Bachelors Degree in Nursing, current BLS and NRP certifications, at least 1.5 years of neonatal intensive care experience, ability to travel between campuses, and working knowledge of SERVO and HFOV vents, traches, chest tubes, inhaled nitric oxide (iNO), umbilical and arterial lines, NG, G-tube, and enteral feeds.
• Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum 36 hours per week.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience working in a teaching hospital setting, familiarity with electronic charting systems such as EPIC, Pyxis, Alaris, Phillips monitor, and previous float experience in NICU or pediatric inpatient units (optional but preferred).
• Additional Information: Orientation includes one shift on the unit with another RN. The role involves a weekend rotation every third week, with no on-call requirements or holiday shifts unless approved by management. Scrubs are provided, and free parking is available.
