Job Summary
Intermediate Care Unit Registered Nurse (IMCU RN) located in Stevens Point. This position involves providing high-quality nursing care within a Med Surg Intermediate Care Unit, handling patients with a variety of acute conditions such as sepsis, trauma, alcohol detox, GI bleed, and stroke. The role requires adaptability to a rotating shift schedule and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Job Details

Position: IMCU RN
Location: Stevens Point
Shift: 12-hour rotating shifts, variable days and nights, with a minimum of 36 hours per week
Contract Length: 9 weeks, starting on 11/23/2026 and ending on 01/23/2027
Required Qualifications: Wisconsin or compact state RN license, BLS, ACLS (American Heart Association or American Red Cross certifications), associate degree or certificate, minimum of 2 years experience in Stepdown, Intermediate Care, or Progressive Care Unit
Schedule: 12-hour Variable Days/Nights, Minimum 36 hours/week
Float: Float rotation may be required to all inpatient units, potentially to Wisconsin Rapids, Plover, or Divine Savior, as needed.
Additional Information: This role involves managing primary patients with insulin drips, performing charting in EPIC, and working with a patient ratio of 4:1 in a busy, stable unit. The unit handles diverse cases including trauma, stroke, TBI, orthopedic trauma, and spinal injuries. Travelers will be guaranteed set hours per week, with potential call-back pay during low census periods, and must comply with vaccination policies during flu season.
