Job Summary
The ICU (Intensive Care Unit) RN position is available in the healthcare organizations critical access facility. This role involves providing specialized care to adult and geriatric patients in a 4-bed ICU setting, with a focus on managing acute and chronic conditions, including multisystem organ failure and post-surgical recovery. The position requires adherence to strict clinical protocols and collaborative interdisciplinary care.

Job Details

• Location: Critical Access facility; Illinois license required to apply.
• Schedule: Nights shift, 12-hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, minimum 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Active Illinois license; ACLS, BLS, NIHSS certifications; minimum of 2 years experience in ICU or CCU; experience in interpretation of dysrhythmias, management of dysrhythmias, multi-system organ failure, and IV insulin protocols.
• Preferred Qualifications: Cerner charting system experience, experience with cardiac monitoring, and emergency response skills.
• Additional Responsibilities: Management of arterial lines, blood products, central lines, PICC lines; administration of continuous IV paralytics, sedatives, emergency medications; ventilator management and respiratory support, including BiPAP, CPAP, and chest tube procedures.
• Patient Age Group: Adults and geriatrics.
• Interdisciplinary Support: Rapid response teams.
• Special Procedures/Unit Details: Chest tubes, bedside dialysis catheter insertion, central line insertion.
• Floating: Float rotation may be required as needed.
• Submittal Requirements: Ensure Illinois license is active, provide 2-3 availability windows, complete onboarding modules, and confirm compliance documentation prior to start.
