Job Details

• Location: McAllen, TX
• Shift: Nights, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: BLS, NRP, Intermittent Electronic Fetal Heart Monitoring (EFM); Experience requirement: 0 years; certified in these credentials.
• Additional Information: The unit has 14 labor beds, 2 operating rooms, 6 recovery bays, and 8 antepartum beds. Staff includes a charge nurse and 3-4 RNs per shift, with staff caring for labor and antepartum patients at ratios of 1:2 and 1:4 respectively. Equipment includes GE Electronic Fetal Monitoring (EFM) and CPN EMR in Meditech/Centricity. The unit performs vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections, bilateral tubal ligations, D&C procedures, and uterine tamponade device placements. Certifications in BLS, NRP, and EFM are required. The candidate should have a positive, compassionate, and flexible personality. Floating to Antepartum and Postpartum units may be required.
