Job Summary
Vermont Surgical Technician/Operating Room Technician. This position involves supporting surgical teams in a community-focused critical access hospital located in a rural setting. Job Details

• Position Description: Travel Certified Surgical Technologist supporting perioperative services by preparing operating rooms, maintaining sterile technique, assisting with surgical procedures, managing instruments and supplies, and ensuring high-quality patient care.
• Required Qualifications: Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program; Current Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential; Current BLS CPR certification from the American Heart Association; Previous operating room experience required; Knowledge of sterile technique, surgical instrumentation, and perioperative procedures; Ability to participate in call coverage and respond within required timeframes; Location requirements: Vermont; Years of experience: 0.
• Schedule: Days shift with 8-hour shifts and a minimum of 40 hours per week.
• Additional Information: Assist during operative procedures by handling instruments, supporting patient positioning, preparing operating rooms, and supporting perioperative patient care activities such as transport, positioning, specimen management, documentation, and postoperative preparation. Participate in on-call coverage and be prepared to scrub urgent or emergent procedures within required response times.
