Job Summary

Registered Nurse, Medical-Surgical Floor Vermont. This night-shift position provides comprehensive care for primarily adult patients, with occasional pediatric patients, in a general medical-surgical setting. The role coordinates medical, surgical, outpatient, observation, swing-bed, and pediatric care while applying the Nursing Process to address each patients physiological, spiritual, psychosocial, and developmental needs.

Job Details

• Schedule: Night shift; 12-hour shifts; minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: At least 3 years of acute care experience; current Vermont Registered Nurse (RN) or multistate Registered Nurse (RN) licensure; Basic Life Support (BLS) American Heart Association (AHA) certification; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification; required influenza vaccination; ability to care for primarily adult patients with occasional pediatric patients.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with the Meditech electronic medical record system.
• Additional Information: The role provides coordinated care in a general medical-surgical unit serving adult and pediatric patients across medical, surgical, outpatient, observation, swing-bed, and pediatric services. Required credentials must be uploaded five business days before the start date. Travelers start on Wednesdays; during the orientation week, travelers on a 48-hour contract may receive 36 hours due to the midweek start.
