Job Details

• Position Description:
  The OR Open Heart Nurse will provide perioperative nursing care in a dedicated cardiac surgical unit, supporting patients through preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative phases. Responsibilities include assisting with large-bore IV starts, arterial line, central line, and epidural placement, as well as helping with patient transport, induction, intubation, and positioning.

• Required Qualifications:
  Certifications in BLS, and experience with advanced procedures such as arterial line and epidural placement. Registered Nurse (RN) licensure with at least 1 year of experience in a high-acuity, perioperative setting. Must work a day shift from 5:00 AM to 1:30 PM, Monday through Friday, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.

• Preferred Qualifications:
  Critical Care experience, preoperative (PreOp) nursing background, and proficiency in documentation and communication within a multidisciplinary team.
