Job Summary
A Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) Nurse is needed in a Level III neonatal unit located at a healthcare facility. The position involves providing specialized care for high-risk neonatal patients, including premature and surgical cases, with a focus on high-acuity care in a fast-paced environment. The role requires collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal outcomes for vulnerable newborns.

- Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Current BLS Certification, Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS); minimum 3 years of NICU experience, experience with titratable drips such as dopamine, dobutamine, versed, fentanyl, and experience working in a Level 3 NICU; valid license to submit.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with high-acuity neonatal care and vent management.
- Additional Information:
- NICU offers high-risk delivery attendance in labor and delivery.
- The unit has 26 beds with nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:2 and 1:1.
- Equipment includes oscillators, nasal CPAP, rare vents, giraffes, atom incubators, and radiant warmers.
- In-house neonatologists and respiratory therapists available 24/7.
- Telemetry utilized for patient monitoring with RN oversight.
- First to float to nursery and pediatrics units.
- Self-scheduling based on seniority, with shifts beginning at 7:00-7:30 AM for 12-hour night shifts.
