Job Summary
Postpartum (L&D PP) nurse position in a California-based healthcare facility. This role involves providing postpartum care to women after childbirth, focusing on high-risk patients, and working within a busy obstetric unit. The position is scheduled for 12-hour night shifts, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
Job Details
- Certifications: BLS (American Heart Association), NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program); required minimum of 4 years of postpartum experience.
- Education Requirements: None specified; licensure required for submission.
- Location Requirements: California.
- Experience: Minimum of 4 years working postpartum, travel experience preferred.
- Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, every other weekend, minimum 36 hours per week.
- Additional responsibilities include floating to neonatal intensive care and pediatric units as needed.
- Patient population: high-risk postpartum women with conditions such as blood pressure issues, multiple pregnancies, diabetes, substance abuse, and other high acuity cases.
- Charting System: Cerner.
- Additional notes: Unit has a charge nurse, nurse aides/OB techs depending on census, and specific unit policies regarding orientation and unit operation.
