Job Summary
Emergency Room (ER) Nurse in an acute care facility. The role involves providing high-quality emergency care to a diverse patient population, including adults and pediatrics, in a fast-paced, Level 2 trauma center. The ER Nurse will work various 12-hour shifts, delivering critical care in a dynamic environment.

Job Details

• Position Description: The ER Nurse will work in an emergency department with a patient volume of 40-160 patients per day. Responsibilities include patient assessment, triage, administering treatments, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team. Unit features include a fast track with 5 beds, trauma bays, and a psychiatric/seclusion area.
• Required Qualifications: Certifications: ACLS, BLS Certification, NIHSS, PALS; Education Requirements: no degree specified; Location Requirements: flexible to work in the specified facility; Experience Requirements: 3 years of emergency department experience.
• Schedule: 12-hour shifts: 0630-1900, 0730-2000, 0930-2200, 1130-2400, 1430-0300, 1830-0700; Minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Additional Information: Candidates must be available to work 2 of the 3 major holidays on a rotating schedule. The ER environment involves a variety of cases from minor complaints to trauma, including STEMI and CVA patients, with a focus on adult and pediatric care. Orientation includes trauma modules and floor-specific training.
