Job Summary
Emergency Room (ER) Nurse in Milwaukee, WI. This position involves providing acute care for a diverse patient population within a Level IV Trauma Center, Level III NICU, and Advanced Comprehensive Stroke Center at a teaching hospital. The role requires delivering high-quality emergency care in a fast-paced environment to neonates through geriatrics.

Job Details

• Location: Milwaukee, WI.
• Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, minimum 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, TNCC. Candidates must have a minimum of 3 years of emergency department experience in a fast-paced facility, with proficiency in cardiac rhythm interpretation, IV skills, critical care drips, blood administration, procedural sedation, and code blue procedures.
• Responsibilities include triage, managing multi-trauma cases, stroke and neuro patient care, mental health cases, and supporting various clinical operations within the emergency department.
• Support on the unit is provided by a dedicated team including unit secretaries, ED Techs, charge nurses, phlebotomists, RTs, physicians, and mid-level providers.
• Charting system: EPIC.
• Orientation: Two 12-hour shifts on the unit.
• Scheduling includes every other weekend rotation, with options to approve time off through specified contacts.
• Other notes include scrub color flexibility and free parking.
