Job Summary
Medical Surgical with Telemetry (MS TELE) nursing opportunity in a healthcare facility. This position involves delivering patient care to diverse populations including geriatric, medical/surgical, adult, and telemetry patients. The role requires self-study of telemetry strips and passing a dysrhythmia test during orientation to ensure proficiency on the telemetry/med surg unit.

Job Details

• Position Description: Delivers nursing care utilizing assessment, planning, intervention, implementation, and evaluation in collaboration with the healthcare team.
• Schedule: Days shift, 12-hour shift hours, estimated 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Active nursing license; recent experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR); Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification; ability to self-study telemetry strips and pass a dysrhythmia test during orientation; no minimum years of experience required.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience in a similar telemetered medical-surgical unit within the last 12 months.
• Additional Information: The nurse may be required to float to other campuses and respond within one hour when called during low census periods. Telemetry ratios are 1:5 on days and 1:6 on nights. A basic dysrhythmia test will be administered during orientation, and passing is mandatory to work on the telemetry/med surg unit.
