Job Summary
Intensive Care Unit Cardiovascular (ICU OH) nurse position available in a healthcare facility. This role involves managing adult and geriatric patients with critical cardiac conditions, including cardiogenic shock, cardiac arrest, heart failure, and arrhythmias. The assignment begins on 11/16/2026 and lasts for 13 weeks, with rotating day and night shifts.
Job Details
- Schedule: Rotating shift time, 12-hour shifts, minimum 48 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Active RN license in Maryland or a Compact State, BLS, ACLS, and CPI certifications. Experience in Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU), including IABP and Impella devices, with at least 2 years of related experience preferred.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with bedside central line insertions, bronchoscopy, chest tube insertion, Swan/PA cath insertion, targeted temperature management, and continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT).
- Responsibilities: Provide comprehensive care for adult and geriatric patients with diagnosed cardiac conditions, utilizing specialized equipment such as Impella, VAD, IABP, CRRT, ventilators, and cooling devices. Perform bedside procedures including line insertions, bronchoscopy, and temperature management. Manage patients on ECMO and other mechanical support devices.
- Additional Information: Floating within the specialty and to lower acuity units is required, with scheduled on-call shifts not required. Candidates must be comfortable with managing complex cardiac devices and procedures, and completing compliance requirements within designated deadlines.
