Job Summary
Interventional Radiology (IR) Nurse Location unspecified. This role involves providing specialized nursing care within a high-volume, fast-paced IR setting. The position requires a strong background in IR and ICU nursing, with responsibilities including patient monitoring, procedural support, and post-procedure care.
Job Details
- Position Description: RN IR with rotational days, working 4x10 hour shifts from 07:00-17:30 or 09:00-17:30, starting 11/09/2026 for a 13-week contract.
- Required Qualifications: Active MD or Compact State Registered Nurse license, BLS, ACLS certification, and at least 2 years of IR or ICU nursing experience.
- Schedule: 4x10 rotating days, 10 hours per shift, a minimum of 40 hours per week.
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, CPI (required and online via The Calm Every Storm).
- Responsibilities: Assisting with angioplasty, central line insertion, blood product administration, embolization procedures, radiation safety, and patient monitoring during high-acuity interventions.
- Patient Age Range: Adolescents through Geriatrics, with an average of 18 cases daily across 5 procedure rooms.
- Additional Unit Information: High-volume IR environment with interdisciplinary support, including interpretation services and rapid response teams. Candidates must be comfortable floating within scope as needed, with approx 5 on-call shifts every 8 weeks, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Submission Requirements: Candidates must accept the position without an interview, and compliance documentation (labs, modules) are due 5 days prior to start.
