Description
Job Summary:
L&D (Labor And Delivery) Nurse - Milwaukee, WI. This position involves providing specialized care to high-risk mothers and newborns within a level IV trauma center and teaching hospital setting. The role requires expertise in maternal assessments, fetal monitoring, and supporting high-risk procedures, ensuring the health and safety of patients during labor and postpartum periods.
Job Details:
- Certifications: BLS, NRP, Fetal Heart Monitoring certification.
- Education Requirements: Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Location Requirements: Milwaukee, WI.
- Experience Requirements: Minimum of 2 years of Level III Perinatal Care Experience, and experience caring for high-risk mothers and newborns.
- Schedule: 12-hour shifts during days, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Support on the Unit: Includes charge nurse, clinical resource nurse, lab draws, and onsite OB specialists.
- Charting System/Equipment: EPIC, Alaris, Pyxis, Fetal Monitoring, Epidural Pumps.
- Support Staff: RT, house supervisor, certified nurse midwives, OB anesthesia onsite 24/7.
- Orientation: First day includes onboarding and training, with subsequent training with a preceptor and work buddy assignment.
- Scheduling: No set schedule; must be available 7 days a week, including every other weekend, with potential for pattern scheduling; RTO coordinated via email; holiday work every other holiday, based on start date.
- Float: Travelers will float first.
- Other Notes: Scrub color provided; free parking designated areas.
