Job Summary

Surgical Technician/Operating Room Technician, ORT. The surgical technician plans and prepares for surgical procedures, assists the surgeon, sterilizes surgical equipment, and assembles scheduled and emergency case carts. The position requires experience with vascular and breast procedures, including laparoscopic hiatal hernia, endovascular, and breast oncology procedures.

Job Details

• Schedule: Day shift, 6:30 AM3:00 PM, Monday through Friday; 8 hours per day and 40 hours per week. On-call coverage is required 23 days per week and every other weekend.
• Required Qualifications: High school diploma; NBSTSA certification as a surgical technologist; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; at least 2 years of experience in an operating room setting, including vascular and breast procedures; experience with laparoscopic hiatal hernia procedures, endovascular procedures, and breast oncology procedures; strong communication skills.
