Job Summary
The organization is seeking a qualified Intensive Care Unit (ICU) nurse for a high-acuity float pool position in the healthcare provider setting. This role involves providing specialized patient care across various units, including critical care, neuro, cardiac, and surgical departments, with an emphasis on acute patient management and high standards of clinical practice.

Job Details

• Position Description: ICU nurse in a high-acuity float pool, responsible for managing complex patient conditions across multiple units such as Critical Care, Neuro, and Surgical Services. Must demonstrate proficiency with EPIC electronic health record system and prior floating experience across different hospital units.
• Required Qualifications: Valid state license to practice as an RN, current BLS (Basic Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), NIHSS (National Institute of Health Stroke Scale) certifications, minimum of 2 years of ICU experience, and experience with EPIC electronic health record system.
• Schedule: Night shift, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with high acuity patient care, managing titratable drips such as Epi, Norepi, Dobutamine, Propofol, Esmolol, Hydromorphone, Midazolam, and CIS, and comfort with high-flow, Bipap, and Cpap equipment.
• Additional Information: The position includes self-scheduling, rotating weekends (3 per schedule), and holiday shifts. Orientation includes general hospital training, Myles modules, Cerner validation, and on-unit orientation.
• Submission Requirements: Candidates willing to wait for license processing and with the ability to submit a license are preferred.
