Job Summary
Operating Room (OR) Specialist Location: unspecified. This position involves providing specialized perioperative care in a dynamic surgical environment. The role requires collaboration with surgical teams to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes during a variety of procedures.

Job Details

• Certifications: BLS (American Heart Association), ACLS (American Heart Association); minimum of 2 years of experience in the specialty required.
• Education and Experience Requirements: 2-3 years of OR experience, including passing the arms in and out for robotics procedures. Prior travel experience with 2-3 assignments preferred.
• Schedule: 10-hour shifts, primarily Monday through Friday, with variations including 7 AM to 5:30 PM, 3 PM to 11 PM, and 11 AM to 11 PM. Shifts include weekday, weekend, and holiday call rotations, with a call response time of 30 minutes.
• Clinical Responsibilities: Handle general surgery, ENT, eyes, ortho, robotics, trauma, vascular, pediatrics, and emergent cases such as appendectomies, stabbings, and cranial procedures. Scrubbing is required for RN staff; experience with EPIC electronic medical records is necessary.
• Additional Requirements: OR staff is predominantly composed of travelers, with minimal experience in some service lines, are encouraged to support and teach, and may be floated to outpatient surgery as needed.
• Submission Requirements: Willingness to hold a license to submit, with the ability to wait for approval.
