Job Summary
Medical Surgical Floor Registered Nurse located at the healthcare facility in the specialty of medical surgical nursing. This role involves performing independent nursing functions and delegated medical functions in accordance with accepted practice standards as defined by the state Board of Nursing. The position includes assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care, as well as providing health teaching and counseling to patients.

Job Details

• Schedule: Rotating shifts: 3-12 hour days from 0700 to 1930 or 3-12 hour nights from 1900 to 0730; weekends: rotating; minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Current license as a Registered Nurse in the state of practice; ASN or equivalent graduation from an accredited School of Nursing; BLS certification (AHA); 1+ years of experience.
• Preferred Qualifications: ACLS certification (AHA); previous experience as a Registered Nurse is preferred.
• Responsibilities include: performing nursing functions, delegated medical functions, health status assessment, health teaching, documentation, therapy and treatment, patient referral, and review of therapy and treatment plans.
• Additional Information: May be required to float to other departments within scope of competency and qualifications based on business need; may be placed on-call during scheduled shifts.
